Gohdin and Corallan plan for surveillance of the region about Surton Spire. There is word the empire is sending troops to investigate, and he wants to make sure his monsters remain locked down... and the humans remain far from their jaws.

Corallan inspects the tunnels of her southern charge. With one of her most trusted subordinates, Selda, she inspects her guards and the entrances into Surton Spire. They pass the time by speaking of their King and how he's changed. It seems, to them both, that it is all for the better.

Gilded Wolves has been placed under an order of silence and removed from adventuring jobs for a time. The Protharian Empire is trying to clean up the mess in Rothmire and Carmoss. While they are stuck without work, and they lick their mental wounds, Paul and Morro await their leader as they share a drink in the guild's hall.

Gohdin has been practicing. With his trusted advisors believing he'd simply lost his memories after the Lichdom ritual, Christoph attempts to acquire as much magical knowledge and application as he can. Sashro is a great help, but even using simple status-effect spells on living targets is troublesome. The two do not share a moral compass.

Griffon Nodure has been tasked with returning to the village of Rothmire. Now, unlike his first voyage, he brings true soldiers in great numbers. The empire was not so concerned with reports of roaming barbarian savages, yet the unknown slayer and vengeful judge of Carmoss was another story.

Gohdin has taken up the crown. Paperwork and orders become his daily life. Word reaches his ear of the empire's investigation into the slaughters of Carmoss and Rothmire. Surton Spire will lock down once more.
