Christoph is practicing his magic. "Fly" is a valuable skill for those talented in the magical arts. With it, the new king can examine his city more easily. He tests his concentration and control while thoughts of a previous life continue to plague him.

Sir Griffon Nodure is investigating the two dead invaders outside Rothmire. One obviously stabbed by the chief's wife. The other... seemed to have entered the ring with a bear. Two mages discuss how best to investigate the tragedy further, but one continues to push his own agenda. He jokingly recommends using necromancy to speak with the dead; against the nation's laws. Instead, he offers to exhume the bodies of the villagers to investigate.
Nodure allows this - only after hearing that the invader's corpse was touched by natural magic. It would seem Rothmire had a druid among their people.

Gohdin sits on his throne and rests. Undead don't sleep, but a lich may find peace in the presence of his phylactery. Take a breather, dear King. Find peace in the stillness of your kingdom.

Griffon Nodure has returned to Rothmire. The village elder will break words with the nobleman. Sorrowful words spoken over tea he never truly enjoyed. It was his wife's favorite.

Corallan and Selda prepare their operations atop Surton Spire. All the surrounding world must be monitored. Monsters and humans must not clash.

Gohdin and Corallan plan for surveillance of the region about Surton Spire. There is word the empire is sending troops to investigate, and he wants to make sure his monsters remain locked down... and the humans remain far from their jaws.

Corallan inspects the tunnels of her southern charge. With one of her most trusted subordinates, Selda, she inspects her guards and the entrances into Surton Spire. They pass the time by speaking of their King and how he's changed. It seems, to them both, that it is all for the better.

Gilded Wolves has been placed under an order of silence and removed from adventuring jobs for a time. The Protharian Empire is trying to clean up the mess in Rothmire and Carmoss. While they are stuck without work, and they lick their mental wounds, Paul and Morro await their leader as they share a drink in the guild's hall.
