He readies his troops, gives the order, and exits the mountain with just three by his side. He has chosen to meet with the people who come knocking at his door. He's chosen to begin with diplomacy, yet it may not end that way.

Gohdin hears Selda and Corallan's plans for protecting The Spire. The humans are on the march, and they have a few hours to prepare. Three options. They can hide themselves in The Grave. They can wait at the gates for a surprise attack should their passages be penetrated. Or, they can open the doors and prepare an ambush.
Christoph hears there is a Destined Blade among them, and he know what he must do.

Sir Nodure and his Destined Blade companion listen to the report of the mage. Trostin confirms that these sought individuals are not weaklings to be trifled with. Will the Blade listen? Will Nodure use this to his advantage?

Paramount among them is the concept of adventurers remaining separate from civilized warfare. Called to act like soldiers, these powerful individuals are bound to the nation through decree. While not agreeable to the teams, the coin might just be enough to convince them... to travel north.
